Li Yu is a Chinese artist based in London and Beijing. Her multidisciplinary practice has developed to include elements of sculpture, performance, concrete poetry, video and sound within immersive sculptural installations. She seeks to critique social structures and explore themes related power, linguistics and to the complexities of the idea of common knowledge. Her works have been exhibited at: CAFA Art Museum, Beijing (The Great of Sculpture — 90 Years Seminar of Sculpture Discipline of Central Academy of Fine Arts), Ruthin International Arts Festival, Ruthin, Guardian Art Centre, Beijing (Art Nova100), AMP Gallery, London and Christie’s, London (Christie’s Lates).

Li Yu is also the co-founder of the artist-led collective DUMP.
